Shorts 8 months a year! Warmer weather 8 months out of the year, mild short winters, stunning falls & springs, and hot summers. The average January temperature is 52 degrees, average year round is 62 degrees. There are many sunny days on average 218 per year – US average is only 205

The joke about our seasons here:

    • Spring: Long refreshing spring with festivals, going to the lake, and tons of outdoor activities
    • Pollen: We always have a 2 week pollen season
    • Summer: BAM it’s summer for an eternity with flip flops and shorts
    • August: Technically this is supposed to be part of Summer but here…well it’s it’s own season as it’s SO HOT!
    • Fall: Enjoy warm days and cool evenings with festivals, football, and bon fires
    • Winter: We have “kind of winters” here which means it is barely long enough to pull out a winter coat with an actual cold one every few years and about once every 5 years a day of snow
