All About Laundry Rooms

Laundry Rooms: There are more options than you may realize.

In this part of the USA, laundry rooms are really only for the washer, dryer and the wire shelf to hang things. Depending on the stage of your home you can add things like cabinets and utility sinks.

Add Cabinets:
- Over the Washer & Dryer Area for more storage instead of the standard white wire shelf
Location:
- Laundry Rooms can be on the main level or upstairs. Usually the location is wherever the primary suite is.
Utility Sinks:
- Not all plans have laundry rooms large enough for a sink, so you will have to ask the on-site agent if it’s not on the plan
- Sinks can be either freestanding all in one units or can be in built in cabinets with granite countertops and stainless steel sink
- Utility sinks can only be added at the very beginning because plumbing goes in very early in the building process
Private Secondary Doors to Primary Suite:
- Quite a few of our floor plans, both ranch & 2 story, now offer a private second door to just the owner’s bedroom closet
